The Crew Chief is largely responsible for operation of field instruments, collection of field data and calculations necessary to perform various field surveys including boundary, topographic and construction surveys.

Responsibilities /Minimum Job Qualifications

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience is required
  • The successful candidates and must have a valid Washington State Driver’s license
  • Successful candidate must be able to pass a background check and have a safe driving record

Collecting field data for boundary and topographic surveys, perform computations during field survey activities, convert limited verbal and written directions from Principal Surveyor to obtain field survey data, maintains survey instruments and performs minor adjustments, performs analysis and back checking for accuracy of collected data, maintains records of daily survey activities including sketches and other forms of field notes in accordance with company policies, directs instrument person to carryout daily activities in an efficient and safe manner, assists in education and development of instrument person.

Hatton Godat Pantier encourages employees to participate in continuing education programs to advance their skills and careers. The company reimburses tuition or fees for work-related training or classes, upon management approval, for up to one class per academic quarter.
Where possible, work schedules will be adjusted and flex-time privileges extended to employees to further their continuing education. Hatton Godat Pantier also pays professional license fees and membership dues for technical societies.
